Valentine's Day is around the corner, and thought it time I get started on some gifts. It just so happened I was playing on my blog last night filtering through my favorite stops, and low and behold My old design team,
The Cuttlebug Spot, is up and running again (and apparently has been since October, such is the life of working woman these days...tells you how much neglect I've given to the online scrappy world). Great to see you back Nilda!!! So, being inspired by a challenge, to create a box and something to put in it, I sat down and created this little Valentine box. I'm sure thing like this have been done over and over, so I won't take credit as my own idea. But, I sat down with no pattern, no image to look at, and just started to play.
Now, I love scalloped hearts and didn't have a nestie or cartridge that had one on it. So, I decided to make my own SVG with my SCAL from an image I found. The regular heart shape I also cut on SCAL but used the basic shapes that it provides and just resized to fit inside my scalloped heart. The box base, is 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" x 2" and the box lid is a 3"x3"x 1/2".
with lid on...
with lid off...tag and mini Hershey bars inside
