At The Fair....

This is a bitter-sweet project for me....it's going to be my last at The Cuttlebug Spot. New design call starting next week and I don't think I have it in me to reapply. I've had a summer of "hell" with the tragedy that has struck us and right now I want to re-focus and get back to loving my scrapping rather than doing it to complete a project.

So here it is...the final one as a DT member (I will definitely be playing along once I get back into the swing of things)for a theme At The Fair:

This week's randomly chosen winner will receive a $50.00 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!

Oh Baby!!

This week it's all about those bouncing bundles of joy at The Cuttlebug Spot. Now I created a LO this week and I put a pic of my son on it. But, this is actually for my newphew Logan who is going to be baptized on September, 12th (I'm going to be his godmother). I did it all is stars, browns and greens to match his bedroom because I am going to frame it so it can be hung there.

What I used...
Cuttlebug Stars Embossing Folder
Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip cardstock
Stampin' Up Kraft cardstock
DCWV pattern paper (from baby stack)
SCAL 2.0 with Cricut to cut title font "Twinkle Star" and star embellies
Fancy Pants Little Star Collection Stamps (Little Star and stars on circle)
Momento Rich Cocoa Ink
*I must also give credit to the very talented Erin Moorehouse who is a fellow DT member with me at Practical Scrappers who created the fabulous sketch I finally got around to doing!*

TO enter this week's chance for $20.00 gift certificate at Custom Crops just create your own baby project and make sure to include embossing. You have until Saturday, August 27th, 9pm PST to enter for your chance to win!

Thanks for stopping in!

New Projects I Haven't Shared!

Behind again on the blog, but here's what I've been up to recently for both Practical Scrappers and The Cuttlebug Spot....not gonna type a lot, but I do want to share!
This was from a challenge that was going on at PS for our 1 yr anniversary....our Book Lover's Challenge where we had to quote from our favorite book. My favorite new series is the Dark Hunter Series and the quote I used was from the book, "Acheron", said by Acheron.

This one here is a LO of me from my wedding day. IT was also from our 1 year anniversary week where the challenge was to use the number 1 on Wednesday of that week on our projects.

This project was our weekly challenge after the 1 year anniversary week where we had to use summer themed stuff on on projects...I used some old beach pics, Reminisce water paper, Karen Forester's crab paper clip, some shell chipboard stickers for embellies (I know there's something I'm forgetting but cannot remember what?).

This was this pasts weeks challenge at Practical Scrappers. Stitching was the challenge at hand, and boy, was it ever a challenge for me. I broke both of my sewing machines in the process :) of trying to complete this card. I don't see myself machine stitching for a long time now. I'm going faux from no on!!

And last here is the project from The Cuttlebug Spot. After a two week vacation from the spot and a much needed rest for all of us there we came back with our weekly challenge and kicked it off with sympathy cards which is a tough one for me. I don't do a lot of sympathy cards so I struggled with this one, but in the end it turned out good.

Stop back in tomorrow and I will have my project for The Cuttlebug Spot this week posted for ya and stay tuned for Wednesday and I'll have my project from Practical Scrappers up! I just got my Copic Markers and I used them on my project this week! WOO HOO!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary Practical Scrappers~ WITH RAK!

Lots happening this week over at Practical Scrappers! A brand new challenge each day with prizes to help celebrate our one year anniversary of our blog. Be sure to stop in daily to check out the new challenge plus the projects everyone create. You may even see some of the old faces throughout the week making guest appearances. We've gone back and invited all of our former designers to join in on the celebration and help create projects to share with all of you this week.

Also, make sure you head on over and become a new member of message board if you aren't already. The celebration doesn't stop on the blog-- we are having an online crop Friday, August 6th until Sunday, August 8th (11:59pm EST). There will be games and of course more challenges to keep this party going! But, you must be a member of the forum and a follower of the blog to join in.

I feel I need to help celebrate with our party so I'm giving away a present! Leave me a comment here letting me know the following:
1.) you've posted about about one year blog anniversary and online crop on the Practical Scrappers message board
2.)where you've posted about our celebrations (other message boards your own blog)
3.)if you will be joining us for some challenges during the week on the blog or the crop!

I have a prize package of $50.00 of scrappy goodies (including a brand new fall stack of paper) that will go to one random winner!

Thanks for stopping in!
*TOOT TOOT* that was my birthday horn blowing!
