Bewitching!

I am playing along in a challenge for the first time , oh I'd say in probably a year, at DCWV blog with their August Stack-a-holics Challenge

Here's my Layout:

This was the original sketch that came from Sketch Savvy:

I decided to flip the sketch sideways so I could use the fabulous witch paper in the new "The Bewitched Stack".  All of my papers come from this new Halloween line.  Used some American Crafts glitter Thickers, a black Gelly Roll pen, and some Studio g black chalking ink to finish it all off.

Thanks for stopping in and happy crafting!

Valentine Gift Box

Valentine's Day is around the corner, and thought it time I get started on some gifts.  It just so happened I was playing on my blog last night filtering through my favorite stops, and low and behold My old design team, The Cuttlebug Spot, is up and running again (and apparently has been since October, such is the life of working woman these days...tells you how much neglect I've given to the online scrappy world).  Great to see you back Nilda!!!  So, being inspired by a challenge, to create a box and something to put in it, I sat down  and created this little Valentine box.  I'm sure thing like this have been done over and over, so I won't take credit as my own idea.  But, I sat down with no pattern, no image to look at, and just started to play.

Now, I love scalloped hearts and didn't have a nestie or cartridge that had one on it. So, I decided to make my own SVG with my SCAL from an image I found.  The regular heart shape I also cut on SCAL but used the basic shapes that it provides and just resized to fit inside my scalloped heart. The box base, is 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" x 2" and the box lid is a 3"x3"x 1/2".

with lid on...

with lid off...tag and mini Hershey bars inside

Products used:
Cardstock: DCWV
Pattern Paper:  DCWV (Immortal Love)
Chipboard Embellishments: DCWV (Immortal Love)
Ink: Studio g black pigment ink
Stamp: Studio g ( My heart is yours)
Embossing Powder: Joann CraftEssentials (silver)
Ribbon: Celebrate It Sheer Celebrations (distributed by Michaels)
Cuttlebug & mini hearts embossing folder

So thanks, Nilda and Cuttlebug team for getting me motivated to create!  It's been some much needed inspiration around here!

Love Is In The Air!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Today is all about "LOVE" and I wanted to share one of my newest layouts about one of my favorite books (which is a love story), Twlight. I bought the DCWV "Immortal Love" stack because, well, I'm obsessed with my books. I've read them probably 10 times each and have yet to get bored with them.
