The Cuttlebug Spot and Practical Scrappers Weekly Projects!

Good Morning Monday!! This month we kick off Breast Cancer Awareness and at The Cuttlebug Spot, we are doing that by challenging you all to show us your pink creations. I decided to create a LO after being inspired by the hit show "So You Think You Can Dance". Choreographer, Tyce Diorio, created the most moving routine (for me) on this show to Maxwell's song "This Woman's Work". HERE is the link to the video for those of you who have not seen it. The routine goes through the battle and struggles of a woman fighting breast cancer. I was in tears (and I don't beleive there were too many dry eyes of anyone watching this number) following this routine. I created this LO to have for myself to remind me of a scare I had two years ago...remembering the lump I found, going to the dr, having the ultra sound done, and finally getting the good news that it was not cancer. It was a struggle for me in those weeks just worrying, I cannot imagine the struggle women battling this disease go through. So in honor of all those who have been touched by diease here is my creation:

This LO is also my weekly design for at Practical Scrappers....there we have presented you all with the challenge of using those decorative scissors (and I also have to use my Cuttlebug or Cricut on my project). I used my decorative scissors to do the photo corners and as well as to create the flowers. I even have my own tutorial on how create these cute little flowers with flowers...find the link HERE.

And here's another project I did for PS using my decorative scissors. I used my JIGSAW scissors to do the edging down the right side of the LO.

So make sure stop in at both The Cuttlebug Spot and Practical Scrappers...we have some great prizes to give out and you won't want to miss these challenges!

Both of these layouts are fantastic! I especially love how you incorporated the SYTYCD pic in your layout for TCS this week. I am a huge fan, and I loved that number as well. I'm so happy that your scare turned out the way it did. Keeping you in my thoughts always! :)

I really like how you framed your journaling in the second page. And also how you tied all the flourishes together with the added white ones on the first.
