Back to School.....

Let's celebrate everyone, the kids are heading back to school! That's what's happening this week at The Cuttlebug Spot. We are celebrating education, so whether your are creating that special project for your child's new teacher or a little note to send them on their first day, or even scrapping those first day of school pics, we want to see your project celebrating education.

For my project this week I chose to alter a composition book for my son Layton. He's starting 4th grade tomorrow and they have to do book reports every month. Now he has a book to put all of his rough drafts in.

Items used:
All patterned papers are DCWV grade school pack
scraps of card stock
Yellow scrap ribbon
Embossing folders:
Spots and Dots on Vinyl "Sprinkles" Thickers
Yep, that's right you can emboss vinyl Thickers in your folders-- I did this just by chance to see if it would work--just run them through twice)

Distressed Stripes on the yellow body of the pencil, and silver fuelle of pencil

Swiss Dots on the eraser

Star folder on the binding and inside pocket

Credits: Pencil paper piercing is from myscrapchick.com which is was their freebie this past week.

Here's my design:

Thanks for stopping in!
