That's what this weeks challenge is all about at Practical Scrappers! Gotta use that stuff up and that's exactly what I did! I've had this vellum for nearly 18 months now (bought it about a month after I actually started scrapping). I used it here and there for some journaling and also layed it over some photos that were just really bright that I wanted to mute, but other than that I really just never used it. Here's how I used up my vellum:
I used a scrap piece of vellum that I had in my scrap box as a photo mat. I love the effect of torn vellum, so I just gave it a little tear down the one side. It creates some nice soft layering, which was the feel I was going for this LO. I also had this pack of vellum envelopes that I got in the clearance bin at Joann's for 50 cents (so, I bought like 6 packs of them-- this is the first one I've ever used --there are 6 in a pack-- only 35 left to go...LOL). Also, I decided to cut some flowers on my cricut and in doing so, decided to create a layer in the flower with vellum. It's a bit touchly to use in the cricut, but once you get it on the right setting it works great ( I had mine set at speed 1, pressure 2, blade depth 3).
Make sure you stop by and check out the other design team members work and hop in on using up that vellum ladies! Let's get rid of those supplies!
